Apple CEO Tim Cook + October 4 2011 + Media Event = iPhone 5 Unveiling

Drum roll please! Let’s all welcome the new Apple CEO Tim Cook as he unveils the latest iteration of iPhone fifth generation or iPhone 5 on October 4, 2011 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco – just a few weeks from now.

John Paczkowski, one of the authors of AllThingsD reported that Apple will yet hold another big media event this fall and the date he has given on his report is it will be on the 4th of October. The next big media event will showcase not only iPhone 5, where most people around the globe are dying to see, but also Apple’s new products in line such as the next generation of iPod Touches and iPods, probably the new iCloud and of course the final release of iOS 5 – report says.

This will be the first and biggest event where we’ll see the new Apple CEO Tim Cook to lead the main event and introduce the latest Apple products. No more hiding behind Steve Job’s back and it’s about time for Cook to show to the whole world that “Apple” does not equate to “Steve Jobs”. Although report says that Cook might get some assistance from his other colleagues, he’s still the main presenter of this event.

If this report is true, then all previous reports, rumors and buzz about iPhone 5′s launching date were true – that it will be “officially” announced and shipped this October.

One intriguing question though, will Steve Jobs also attend the said event? Who knows?
