[Rumors] Android Jelly Bean Will Be Google’s Next After Ice Cream Sandwich

Rumors has gone wild like bush fire as the latest news leaked that Google might already have a name for their next Android release.  The next sweet treat Google have for all Android lovers will be called Jelly Bean – not bad for Google’s sweet tooth naming convention tradition and not to mention the sweet treats are all in alphabetical order – that is it this will really be considered by Google to be the next Android.  Although, we still haven’t heard any reports, confirmation or even a press release from the company itself; I don’t know if there are any other names that can be associated in-line with Android sweet treats and starts with “J” – the choices is so minimal.  Looking back at Android’s naming convention they started with Banana Bread (ver 1.1), Cupcake (ver 1.5), Donut(ver 1.6), Éclair(ver 2.0 – 2.1), Froyo(ver 2.2), Gingerbread(ver 2.3), Honeycomb(ver 3.0 – 3.2), and Ice Cream Sandwich(ver 4.0).

next version of Android OS to be named Jelly Bean [Rumors] Android Jelly Bean Will Be Googles Next After Ice Cream Sandwich

According to the source, one of the features which was supposedly included in Ice Cream Sandwich – game-changing stuff – will now be moved into the next Android release which is Jelly Bean.

There’s one thing I am sure of whether this report is valid or not, knowing Google’s competitive attitude they won’t settle for less. And they always ensure that their “next big thing” is more extravagant from its predecessors. This is not the time that they should be complacent since Apple is still out there and if Google’s not careful they might lose the competition.

Do you think Jelly Bean is an acceptable next name of the Android series?
