After the success of Microsoft Windows 8, the next version of its Cashcow Office 2013 is the new talk of the town. Let’s have quick look over the new features of PowerPoint 2013.
New Features of PowerPoint 2013
Cloud Storage
PowerPoint, by default, syncs your documents to your SkyDrive Cloud Storage space. This is one of the notable features because it helps ensure that your files can be accessed from anywhere, and on almost any Internet-accessible device.
No more fear of crashes or loss of data. PowerPoint syncs the PPT file as soon as you close the application which makes the process hassle-free.
Excel and Visio Bridge
PowerPoint 2013 added more features for Excel and Visio integration which allow users to work with graphs and charts or create custom shapes and import directly into PowerPoint without any external application.
In addition to Link and Embed Charts feature, another alternative is rumored to be added in this new version.
Modified Splash Screen
PowerPoint 2013 homescreen is modified and various themes and customizations options are available from the homescreen itself. You can now configure the color scheme of your template. By default, each template is provided with 4 color schemes to suit your presentation needs.
Interface
It sports the similar interface to that of PowerPoint 2010, but with enhanced touch screen functions.
Custom Shapes
Ran out of AutoShapes? You can now create your custom desired autoshapes out of your creativity by merging to shapes. There is a possibility of millions of new shapes. You need not use external tools like illustrator to create vectors and simple shapes.
The consumer preview seems to have picked up a positive response. There might be more features hiding behind the final release. The Office 2013 release date is not yet announced but is rumored to be around in the month of May next year.
