Google Project Glass is the best invention of 2012!
Google Project Glass, a wearable computing device created by Google’s X consists of an eyeglass that has a display screen on the right hand side and a battery inside the glass frame. Google has come up with a device that will completely change the way you work with technology. The prototype has already created a lot of hype about the device. Here are five reasons for Google Project Glass being the best invention of 2012:
1. Helps you to live in the moment
In today’s world, all of us are too busy texting or calling or surfing the net on our smart phone. This device is going to change this. In the future we do not have to stop looking at what we are seeing to look down at our phone. The device will be connected to your phone and all texts and calls will be displayed on the phone. You can stay in the moment and attend to those.
2. Get Quick Information
The Google Project Glass video gives you an idea of what the future will look eye with this device. You can see how you can stream information merely by looking at something. You can get reviews about an eating joint by looking at it. You can stream Google map on the device and get the Facebook link of anybody who interests you merely by looking at them.
3. You Can Be Completely Hands-Free
The Google Project Glass device allows you to be completely hands-free. You do not have to take out your camera to capture a perfect moment. You just have to look at it and enjoy the moment for the device to take a photo and video. You so not have to take out your phone to answer the call or reply to a text message. Just move your head, select the option and do it. Just talk to the device and make it carry out a task.
4. Advanced features
Google Project Glass device has a small LCD screen on the upper right hand corner of the right eye. This is the screen where all information will be displayed. The device has a GPS and a camera. You can scroll the menu on display by simply tilting your head. The device also has a voice control system where you have to state the program you want to run, to start it.
5. Not Very Expensive
There has been no official word about how much the cost of Google project Glass would be. However, if you were to believe what some Google employees had to say, you can hope for it to be around the same price bracket as some of the latest smart phones in the market.
The device has already captured a lot of interest. If you go by the video that Google has launched, then Google’s Project Glass in action is going to be that great milestone in technological advancement. Google says it will be ready to launch the device by 2014. I will be waiting for Google Project Glass until then!

“get the Facebook link of anybody who interests you merely by looking at them.”
OKAY! Is this legit? Because seriously, this will take facebook stalking to a whole new other level! I do wonder if this would be a hit amongst techies though, for sure I will buy one once it’s available here in the Philippines

Not very expensive? As far as I remember, in order to test the prototype you have to pay up to $1500.
