Just a few hours ago, we received an update from David Wang also known as @planetbeing in Twitter about the latest news from their A5 untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 iDevices like iPhone 4S and iPad 2. This is actually some good news considering that most of the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 are waiting for this untethered jailbreak update. If you recall, previous reports says that the team composed of all known iPhone hackers faced some difficulties before. One of which is when they faced sandbox issues but they were able to surpassed this problem with @planetbeing and @saurik assistance to the team. And since then they went back again working to find an exploitable bug/code within the A5 iOS.
And it looks like everyday is getting better and better with these hackers and soon we’ll be seeing the final release of the untethered jailbreak for A5 devices – iPhone 4S and iPad 2. The reason for me saying this it’s because @planetbeing tweeted that he’s finally using an unsigned code running on his iPhone 4S with some other codes that will be included into the new upcoming jailbreak. Although none from these hackers cited any estimated date as to when they will release the much awaited jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 – many are still hopeful that the team can crack this one and would be able to published an untethered A5 jailbreak. Although it can’t be helped that some people are still a little bit skeptical since it’s taking these hackers a long time to crack the latest iOS for A5.
According to reports, and from which we should also understand that it is quite harder to jailbreak Apple devices using A5 processors since it is not susceptible to bootROM exploits. And if it is that easy then I am pretty sure that one of these hackers would have been able to release the jailbreak since the birth of A5 processors – which happens to be almost a year by now.
We promise to keep you updated as soon as we hear the news from these jailbreakers.
