Samsung GALAXY Ace Plus – A New Member To The Android Galaxy Family

Samsung Mobile Press has just officially unveiled the latest addition to their Android Galaxy family – Samsung GALAXY Ace Plus.  At first it was just an unconfirmed rumor in the Android community saying that Samsung will be launching a new GALAXY smartphone with images of the new Samsung Galaxy Ace “Plus” leaked.  And now, Samsung released a Press Release that Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus is now official and will soon be out.  As expected, this smartphone will still run Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a dimension of 114.7mm x 62.5mm x 11.2mm, and weighs 115g.  Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus when compared to its predecessor Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830, it’s quite smaller although heavier.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus sports3.65″ HVGA(320×480) TFT display and as Samsung describe it, this smartphone is designed to be simple yet elegant and versatile.  This smartphone is powered by a 1GHz processor with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity which makes it adequate enough for our daily use.  Also it is already WiFi enabled so you can use it either for your work or social life.  Samsung also stated that “Plus” have a shared storage capacity 2GB for your multimedia – photos and videos and an up to 1GB direct storage for all of your apps.  Another thing that will be noticed according to them that they ensured that the startup loading time will be much faster.

Unfortunately Samsung haven’t unveiled how much will Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus be when they officially start on shipping them across the globe.  Also it’s not clear whether “Plus” will also be included in Samsung mobiles which will soon get the ICS update.  Another downside, in my own opinion I am not sure if this will make Samsung gain more revenues since Samsung Galaxy S II and Samsung Galaxy Note are still out and still on top – not to mention their Nexus and Galaxy Y.
