Untethered Jailbreak For A5 Devices (iPad 2 and iPhone 4S) – Again In Progress

As if someone won from a lottery game after @planetbeing and @pod2g announced a couple of hours ago simply implying that they’re back in business to finish what should have been released last week – the untethered jailbreak for A5 or iOS 5 iDevices such as the iPhone 4S and iPad 2. There are so many iPhone 4S and iPad 2 users were waiting for the untethered jailbreak release for their devices. Unfortunately, last week they had some difficulties to progress because they were facing a sandbox issue. At that same week, I saw an updated information from @pod2g’s blog that almost all of the known iPhone unlockers/jailbreakers joined his crusade to come up with an untethered jailbreak for A5 devices. Some of the well-known Apple jailbreakers whose names came out were @planetbeing (an icon already in the world of jailbreaking and was also known for his work last 2007 when he released iPod Touch jailbreak), @MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev Team (redsn0w), and @p0sixninja of Chronic Dev Team.

Planetbeing Tweets A5 Jailbreak Commence

So with this powerful team, if everything goes well then we should expect the release of the latest untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 or A5 devices like iPhone 4S and iPad 2 not later than next week.  Although @pod2g is not promising any ETA as to when they would be able to release the jailbreak in public – let us just cross our fingers.

One important note for those who have plans to jailbreak their iPhone 4S and/or iPad 2 – DO NOT update your iDevice further than iOS 5.0.1 otherwise this release is not for you.

I have here the link of my previous post if you want to jailbreak your iDevice with RedSnow.
